Christophe Abrassart

Co-director of the Lab Ville Prospective and responsible in 2018 for the co-construction of the Montréal Declaration for a Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence

Ph.D. in Management Sciences (CGS, MinesParisTech), Christophe Abrassart has been a professor since 2011 at the School of Design of the Université de Montréal and co-director of the DESS in Strategic Eco-Design (UdeM-Polytechnique). He regularly designs and leads prospective co-design workshops with the Lab Ville prospective of the Université de Montréal, on the possible futures of cities and territories facing the challenges of digital and ecological transitions. He is currently leading a project on Montréal in 2050 for the City of Montréal’s urban planning and mobility department. In 2018 he was also responsible for the co-construction of the Montreal Declaration for the development of responsible AI. He is also a researcher at the Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ) and co-responsible for the Environment, Intelligent City, Mobility and Territories Axis at OBVIA (International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology).
