Aurélie Arnaud has been a councillor in government and municipal relations at the City of Montréal since 2016, where she has laid the foundations of the city’s Reconciliation strategy with Aboriginal peoples. Previously, Aurélie Arnaud worked for 8 years for Quebec Native Women as Communications Officer and developed the position of Environmental Issues Coordinator to support Aboriginal women affected by mining development. When the Truth and Reconciliation Commission on Residential Schools came to Quebec, she advised and coordinated the Commission’s communications and Francophone press relations.

Aurélie Arnaud regularly gives conferences on the rights of Aboriginal peoples, the Indian Act, and the rights of Aboriginal women, during which she invites people to reflect on the role of all in implementing true Reconciliation.
