Binh An Vu Van became known as a science journalist on the science TV show, Le Code Chastenay, broadcast on Télé-Québec and TV5 Monde. She can now also be seen every week on the program Libre-Service on MATV and Par ICI l’été on Radio-Canada. On the radio, she is a science columnist on the program Médium large on ICI Radio-Canada and appears on various programs. In writing, she collaborates with many magazines, including the magazines Québec Science, La recherche, Nouveau Projet, Curium, Quatre-temps, and many others. Her reports have won numerous awards, both at the Canadian Magazine Awards and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. She is also a recipient of the Fernand-Seguin Science Journalism Fellowship and the Lizette-Gervais Award.
She served as president of the Association of Science Communicators from 2012 to 2015, where her mandate was marked by public denunciation of the muzzling of federal scientists, a hindrance to the practice of science journalism.
As of May 2016, Binh An Vu Van will be a national specialty reporter on Radio-Canada’s Découverte program.
