President and Chief Executive Officer, Association québécoise des informaticiennes et informaticiens indépendants (AQIII)
Trained as an economist, Caroline brings to AQIII since January 2013 her dynamism and passion for technology to support the development of this association of some 1,700 ICT consultants and micro-entrepreneurs. Familiar with the very specific context and ecosystem in which ICT and digital technologies are evolving in Quebec, Caroline works to build bridges between partners and key players in the field, while stimulating technological entrepreneurship projects.
For more than 12 years, she worked at ADRIQ, a network of CEOs and senior innovation managers from all sectors of the Quebec ecosystem. Caroline practiced in a public relations firm before pursuing her career as an economist. She lived through the challenges of technology SMEs (‘gazelle’ in strong growth and leader in telecom) before joining ADRIQ in 1999. In 2008, Caroline founded PIKANTÉ! Communications Inc. to offer specialized consulting services to innovative SMEs and startups in business development and strategic communications, including a stint in the world of angel investors and venture capital.
Seeking to create value and economic spin-offs in Québec through technology companies, the company’s passions are fuelled by the financial and technological files of innovation, ICT, TechnoScience Succession, SME coaching and business networking. She sits on the Table des Partenaires en TIC of TechnoMontréal and Québec International, on the board of directors of TechnoCompétences, the sector-based ICT workforce committee, and is president of the board of directors of CyberCap, an organization for socio-professional reintegration and prevention of school dropout through digital technology. She can also simply be described as “CommTechGeekess, dynamic and passionate about ICT, entrepreneurship and innovation”.
