Catherine Gauthier has an impressive track record since the beginning of her environmental and social involvement, more than a decade ago. In 2005, Catherine participated in her first Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in the Government of Canada delegation. In September 2007, she was invited by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to speak on behalf of international youth at the UN General Assembly. As ambassador of ENvironnement JEUnesse, she also took part in the conferences of Bali (2007), Copenhagen (2009) and Cancún (2010). In 2011, she set up with ENvironnement JEUnesse the Quebec Youth Delegation at the Durban Summit. In December 2012, she was at the Doha Conference to study the participation of civil society. In the fall of 2014, she prepared and delivered seminars at the Université de Sherbrooke on international climate policy as part of the Lima conference (2014). She also represented the organization at the Paris Conference (2015) and Marrakech in November 2016. Catherine holds a Master’s degree in International Law and International Policy. She is now Executive Director of ENVironnement JEUnesse and a lecturer at the Université de Sherbrooke.
