Lylia Khennache is a senior analyst in integrated risk management at Hydro-Québec, a designated director at Oxfam-Québec and at the Quebec Division of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. She has more than 9 years of experience in international development, water management and gender issues. She holds a PhD in bio-resource engineering from McGill University, her thesis developing a framework for analyzing the dynamics of power interactions between countries sharing a common watershed. In particular, she studied the case of the construction of the Great Renaissance hydroelectric dam in Ethiopia on the East Nile shared by Egypt, Ethiopia, North Sudan and South Sudan.
