Director Fintech and Innovation, Autorité des marchés financiers
Oumar Diallo has over 12 years of experience in strategic and regulatory analysis, risk management and financial technology, having worked closely with decision-makers in the financial sectors and international organizations. Perfectly trilingual (French, English, German), he is the Director, Fintech and Innovation at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
He has held senior positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Laurentian Bank, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and The Economist, among others. Oumar holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Politics from the Université de Montréal, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in International Studies, specializing in international economics from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna in Austria and an M.P.A., specializing in financial regulation, from the prestigious École Nationale d’Administration de France (ENA) – Promotion Robert Badinter.
Winner of Black History Month 2020, Oumar is an experienced administrator, very involved in the community and has already served on several boards and selection committees. He is the past president of the Réseau des Entrepreneurs et Professionnels Africains (REPAF) and is a member of the Board of Concertation Montréal (CMTL), in charge of the college on Economy and International Attractiveness. He is a member of the Young Leaders Circle of the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) and Ambassador of the “I Choose Montreal” initiative.
