Director of Innovation, Innovitech

Trained as an aerospace engineer, Sofiane is a business manager and consultant specializing in innovation, technology and commercialization management. He currently holds the position of Director of Innovation at the consulting firm Innovitech, where he works to improve the individual and collective efficiency of companies, universities and research institutions, and intermediaries of innovative ecosystems oriented towards cutting-edge technological innovation.

Sofiane is also an expert specialist in intermediation and support for collaborative innovation projects and has many years of experience in setting up local and international strategic alliances and in identifying, setting up and financing major collaborative innovation projects with high potential for innovative players in the aerospace and defense and medical technology sectors. Prior to that, he successively worked as project, program and development manager for major industrial research groups in Quebec, Canada and Europe.

Sofiane has sat on numerous industrial committees for the development of emerging technological niches and continues to be involved in business advisory committees. He is also a director of the Société du Palais des Congrès de Montréal, a Quebec government corporation that actively contributes to the international reputation of the city of Montreal.

Finally, more recently, sofiane was appointed ambassador of the Groupe des trente de Concertation Montréal, an initiative that aims to promote ethnocultural diversity in decision-making forums, and he was the winner of the Grand Prix Jeune Potentiel 2019 of the Fondation Club Avenir.
