Principal Machine Learning Scientist, Huawei

Vahid Partovi Nia obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from EPFL Switzerland, and postdoc from McGill and Stanford. In 2011 he joined Polytechnique de Montréal as a faculty, and moved to Huawei Noah’s Ark Lab in 2017. Since 2018 he is leading the Accelerated Neural Technology (ANT) team under Computer Vision Lab. He is still supervising graduate students in academia, holds Adjunct Professor position at Polytechnique de Montréal, is a member of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science, as well as Centre Recherche Mathématiques (CRM) and Groupe d’étude de Recherche en analyse des devisions (GERAD).
