William Sanger is Analyst, Systematic Fundamental Equities at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. He works as part of a team implementing a systematic investment strategy based on unstructured data and machine learning models. Previously, he was a project director at CIRANO in the Social Data Science Lab and a graduate lecturer at Polytechnique Montréal in industrial strategy analysis. Through OBVIA, he participated in the writing of the white paper on the use of artificial intelligence in insurance (2020). He holds a PhD in industrial engineering (data science and policy), a master’s degree in industrial engineering (massive data and stock markets) and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
